1st Snowfall & Feedin' Duckies

It's been a couple weeks since I wrote.. Been kinda busy. I volunteed to make scarves & beanies for 'missionary boxes' that my work is sending out to some Elders who used to work for us. So, I've been busy.
The first 'big' snowstorm hit us on 11/30/07, & I had to have Po take some pics out in the snow! He loves the snow. Any chance he can get, he's out playing with his friends in the snow.
Will & I have this 'thing' we decided we were going to do once a week. I love ducks, and our apartment complex has about 20 of them that live here. So, we go out & feed them. We try to do it once a week. Today, while Porter was out with his friends, Will & I decided to go feed the ducks. These little things are really friendly (I'm sure it's because we had food) but still, I really was amazed at how close they would get. They were coming right up to us and taking the bread & crackers right out of our hands! They were so cute. And probably starving. They just kept on eating...

On Friday night (12/7), my cousin Nicki & her husband, Brian, had a SuperBad party at their house. We had all our friends over & watched the movie 'SuperBad'. Let me tell ya, that is the most vulgar movie I have ever seen. It was fun hanging out though. We had Porter this weekend, so Will couldn't go.
Well, got to get back to finishing the scarves & beanies... just thought I'd share a little of our lives...

Thanksgiving Dinner & Midnight Shopping

Thanksgiving dinner was fun! It was such a different thing to do, (to go out to dinner.) I mean, it was nice, but I'd rather do the whole cooking/get together thing at a house with family. It just makes it that much more special. I am glad that we had the experience so that we'll always have the memory of going out to dinner on Thanksgiving, but it's definitely not me.

In the picture of all of us, you can't really see my Mom... she's behind my Grandma. Anyway, that's all of us, there were only 5. Kale and Britt went to dinner with her side of the family this year, and Everett & Nina went to hers as well. Ev and Nina met up with us to say 'Hi' after we were done at Mimi's, but then we all went our separate ways. Which is why I like getting together at someones house for Thanksgiving. It just seemed like it was any other day, going out to eat at a restaurant. Oh well, I guess we'll know what not to do next year! ha ha

Well, this year, I decided I wanted to go shopping Friday. I have never done the whole 5am shopping thing before. I wanted to go up to the Park City outlets because I knew they'd have some really good deals going on, (and they opened the doors up there at midnight!) We went to the Tommy Hilfiger outlet and got quite a few things, for really cheap! Then we went to the Nike outlet, because Po needs some new shoes. We found a really cool pair for $28! I think he'll really like what we got for him. I told Will that we have to do this every year! We saved so much money! He seemed like he had a good time too, so I'm sure he'll go with me next year.

Anyway, that's about all our weekend has consisted of, which is nice! I like being off for 4 days and not having to do anything!

Porter & Tatum... Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving all! We are doing things a little different this year.. My two brothers are going with their spouses to their sides of the family, so my Mom was going to be by herself.. Good thing I'm here! :) My Mom and my Grandma decided they didn't want to cook this year, so the 5 of us (me, Will, Po, my Mom & Grandma) are going to eat at Mimi's Cafe. My Grandma made reservations for us at 6:00. I have never ever been out to eat on Thanksgiving before, so this is really different for me. I think it will be kind of fun though. After dinner, we are going to take Po back to his Mom, because Will and I are going to go shopping! That's another thing I haven't done before... (neither has Will) so this is quite a different Thanksgiving this year. We are going to drive up to the Park City outlets at midnight, and then hurry to make it to an Old Navy before 5am. I just have a few things in mind that I would like to get...
I am so excited that I have the rest of the week and weekend to do nothing! I was originally supposed to work on Friday (tomorrow), but the owners of the company decided on Wednesday that we didn't have to come in on Friday! I was so excited about that! So, yesterday one of Will's friends (Eric) called him to see what we were doing last night. He has a little girl named Tatum who is Porter's age, they have known each other since they were born. (Will's ex and Eric's ex are friends) Anyway, we went out to Eric's house last night, him and his wife have a house out on Eagle Mtn (Lehi), it's really nice! Tatum and Porter played, Will and Eric watched the Duke game, and I was going to watch it with them, until Eric told me that they had DVR and some of America's Next Top Model were saved on it... I ended up watchin Top Model all night!

We left around 11:00 or so, the kids had a lot of fun. Tatum looks like a mini version of Cameron Diaz. She is so pretty! All the boys are going to be chasin' her, Eric better watch out!
Well, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and travels safely for the holiday! (I'll have more pictures to post from dinner later...) :)

~Our Christmas Tree & The Cabin~

Yeah, I know.. it's a little early for the tree.. But I had to make up for last year. Will and I had moved into our new apartment 1 week before Christmas last year, so the tree wasn't up for that long. I had helped my Mom put hers up on the 4th of this month, (not sure why she wanted hers up, maybe she just felt in the 'festive mood'..) So, of course that prompted me to want to put ours up. I asked Will what he thought, and he didn't care either way, so we put the tree up on the 7th. Porter was with us that week, so he helped and had a lot of fun decorating the tree. I am glad to have it up, I really like this time of year. I just can't believe it's hear already!!
This weekend we went up to the cabin. The last time we were up there was in August, and I have never been up there during the winter/fall.. so we went! We left on Friday, and got up there around 8 or so. Kelsey (Will's sister) stayed up there with her 2 kids (Cali & Cole) with us the whole weekend. It was a lot of fun, relaxing, and a nice get-away. The kids enjoyed being around each other and playing. On Saturday morning, we went out to breakfast. There are only a few places actually open up at Bear Lake this time of year, so the pickings were slim. We watched movies all day and laid around. For dinner, Kelsey and I went and got some pizza (at a place that is only open on Friday & Saturday nights) and we also stopped at a little grocery store to get some eggs (to make brownies-Kelsey's idea) and some ice cream, for dessert.
This picture was at breakfast Saturday morning.

The kids outside the restaurant we ate at for breakfast.

This morning Kelsey got up early and left, so they could make it to church on time. Porter and I decided to have some of the ice cream for breakfast this morning! It was a pretty good idea! We cleaned the cabin and got everything in the truck and made it home around 4... I really like getting away, but it's always good to come home. (We just don't want to go to work tomorrow..) ha ha

Anyway, I'll have more to write about later..

Halloween!

I know Halloween was 3 days ago.. But take what you can get!!! ha ha I am still sick.. not as bad though, just coughing like crazy and it won't go away.. I hate it. Anyway, for Halloween, Porter was a vampire! He looked so cute. He stayed with us Tuesday night and Will got him ready for school Wednesday morning. (I had to be to work by 8, so I could leave to see his Halloween Parade at school later), Will had a lot of fun getting him ready. He made Po's hair all spikey and got him excited to be a vampire!

Will dropped Po off at school around 8:45 or so, and then came to pick me up from work around 9:15. Po's school had a Halloween Parade for all the kids. It started at 9:25 and lasted till almost 10am. They have all the classes walk through the school and show off their costumes. He had so much fun. (And I have to say, he was the cutest...) :) Will and I were there for him, and he was so happy. I took a ton of pictures. We left and I got back to work at about 10:30.

Oh My Gosh!! This picture is so funny! Look how cute Po is staring right at the camera for Will! Then if you look to the left a little, spiderman is picking his nose! ha ha ha ha I was laughing so hard when I saw this.

My work had a 'Tailgate' themed party.. Everyone had to wear their favorite team's gear. So, of course, I went with Duke. Will has 2 Duke hats, and all three of us have a Duke sweatshirt, so I was set. Will also has a Duke golf towell, and I got a little creative and stuck it on my pants. Everyone had a lot of fun. And there was soooo much food! Oh my gosh! I ate so much, I had to practically roll my self back to my desk. It was so good, I couldn't stop eating! ha ha
This picture is of Mickie and I. We work together, and we had a lot of fun on Halloween! She's a BYU fan...
Anyway, all in all, we had a pretty eventful day. Porter's Mom picked him up from school and took him trick-or-treating, and I'm sure he had fun.

I can't believe it's already November! This is rediculous! I just have to keep telling myself, "Before you know it, it will be summer again.." (I hope it works...) ha ha

Pumpkin Carving & Being Sick...

Well, it's that time of year again kids!! Time for Halloween and all the fun stuff that comes with it... (Particularly, candy...not so much of the being sick) We decided last Wednesday (10/24) that was the best day for us to carve the pumpkin we bought. We don't have Po this weekend, and we might not have him on this coming up Wednesday (Halloween), so we might not see him again until next weekend.. (we all know how that goes though...) So, we did the carving last Wednesday night. Po was sooo excited, like it was Christmas. He couldn't hold still.

The pumpkin didn't turn out as well as we thought it would... Oh, well.. I guess we'll try again next year! ha ha My Mom gave us some pumpkins that just plug in, so that's probably what we'll use. Haven't quite decided yet.
Anyway, as far as being sick goes, I can't stand it. I have been coughing like a freakin' smoker and I have had this horrible headache the past few days that won't go away. I slept pretty much all day today. I just don't want to do anything. I can't wait to not be sick anymore. Will has been taking pretty good care of me today, waiting on me hand and foot.
So, on that note... I'm going to lay down again, and try to get some more sleep.

Witches Night Out...

Me, my Mom, and Ev's girlfriend Nina

Friday night was 'Witches Night Out' at Gardener Village in West Jordan. Gardener Village is this little shopping place that's outside and has a bunch of different novelty stores. There's an antique store, a candy store, a little girl's store (there are actually quite a few of those), a shoe store, a couple furniture stores, and a bunch of other stores that I can't even put my finger on right now. They also have a restaurant there. It's a pretty awesome little setup they have. My Mom found out about it quite a few years ago, and it has just gotten bigger since. -These are my cousin Mandy's little girls, Paris & Kennedy (I can't get enough of them!) -
-Aunt Susan & Kennedy - Paris & me -

Anyway, every year they have this 'get-together' there called 'Witches Night Out' and everyone who goes, dresses up.
-Stephanie, Grandma, & Mandy - -Nicki & Karlie-

There were so many people there! It was insane. I had no idea it was this big. They have so many different things to do, and there were a lot of booths setup outside of the stores for shopping and food and junk. They had a live dj and different activities and contests. It was a lot of fun!

-Aunt Kiwi & Mandy-

My Grandma (my Mom's Mom) is the one who wanted to get all the girls in the family together to go there. We all went to eat at Mimi's Cafe at about 5:30-6, and then went to Gardener Village at about 7:30 or so. We stayed till about 10! It sure didn't seem that long... So much to look at!

-I found Glenda the Good Witch from 'The Wizard of Oz'!

-I also found the witches from 'Hocus Pocus'!!!-
-Grandma, Kar, & Mandy-

Who all went: Grandma, My Mom, me, Aunt Susan, Nicki, Karlie, Mandy, Kennedy, Paris, Stephanie, and Aunt Kiwi all went out to eat. Then, Aunt Jamie and Kenzee met us at Gardener Village. (I didn't really get a chance to take any pictures of Jamie and Kenzee...)

I think that Karlie is the funniest girl I've ever met. She is Nicki's daughter, and I just love her. I used to take her over the weekends when she was just little, all the time. It was so much fun to have her. She has grown into this beautiful girl, before you know it, she'll be graduating from High School. She is only 12, but it seems like she was just 4 yesterday.

-This is her just being herself... thought I'd take a picture while I could.-

-And this is both of us, doing what we do best....-

They had some pretty cool decorations setup there...

This is where they had the d.j. setup and there was a stage to dance on.

Anyway, we all had a really good time. I think we'll have to make this a tradition in the family!

Four Doggies and a Wedding.... ha ha

I forgot to take my camera out to my Mom's last Saturday (10/6) when we went out to paint my shelves and fix her mailbox (read previous entry).. So, when we were at the house, Will took some pictures with his camera on his phone. They didn't turn out all that well, but they look pretty good. C.J. is on Porter's lap (he couldn't get enough of Po), Eddie is on the right (with the white stripe on his head), Molly is the little one in the front, and Tug is the bigger one in between Po and I. And yes, they are ALL wiener dogs.. Porter just loves them. When we are talking about them, he always says, "They're mine, they just live at your Mom's house, right?!?!" ha ha.. I always laugh when he says that because I love them just as much, if not more, than he does. They are the best dogs ever! One day I (we) will have one or two.. . (Will just doesn't know it yet...) Well, I am going to try out the whole 'video' thing.. Will took a video with his phone, of the dogs just going nuts over Porter.. It was pretty funny.

Anyway, I was going through some old pics...

I found the ones from Kale (one of my brothers, I have 2 younger ones) and Brittany's wedding on 8/12/06. I planned Britt's Bachlorette Party which was on Saturday August 5, 2006.

We had so much fun, and most importantly, Brittany did! Her favorite place to eat (and mine ironically) is the Spaghetti Factory.. So, I made a reservation for a group a girls (about 5 of Britt's friends, our cousins wife Stephanie, and my girl-friend Katija) to eat some good food!! At dinner, I presented Britt with some gifts that she had to wear all night, and a little something for the rest of us too! She had to wear this feathery-fluffy veil thingy, a huge pink, ring that lit up bright red, and a leigh. We all had to wear the leigh's as well, and there were a few colors to chose from. After dinner, it was off to go dancin' and have a few cock-tails.. I reserved a huge booth for us at 'The Hotel' which is in downtown SLC. Britt was so suprised when we got there, I don't think she realized how much I had planned! It was awesome, if I do say so myself!! She had a great time.

A week later, it was on to the Wedding! I can't believe how emotional I got. My little brother was getting married! I am the oldest of three, and it didn't seem real until that moment. I was so proud of him! He picked a great person to add to our family. I love Brittany!

This is a pic of my Mom and Britt, right before the wedding.

This one is of (L to R) Everett, Kale, and I. (What a handsome family...)

I love the picture below.. It is one of my favorites.

I can't wait till the day that I can walk down the isle with Will. It will come soon...
