Halloween is coming.........

I'm excited for Halloween. (have no idea what we're dressing up as yet...) But I LOVE Halloween! This time of year is just fun. The cool air, the pretty colors, and the warm clothes. Now... if we could just find a way to keep winter away for a little longer.... hmph.

I haven't wrote much about this summer.. (we haven't had the internet..) so, it's time to play "catch-up".

Will's parents came home the end of June and left again the middle of August. We spent some time with them at the cabin (Bear Lake) and here are some pics...

This is the cabin at sunset... The boys didn't dare to go down the stairs, so it was perfect! We went down to the beach for a few hours... Porter had fun with his cousins... (Po is in the goggles)The boys learned how to swim (their first time in a lake) Red LOVED the water. Cecil hated it..Will took Reddick out on the lake quite a few times on this raft. He had so much fun. And we went to dinner with Will's parents the night before they left (and one of their friends). Well, that's all I have the time for now... I'll write more soon!

~Our Christmas Tree & The Cabin~

Yeah, I know.. it's a little early for the tree.. But I had to make up for last year. Will and I had moved into our new apartment 1 week before Christmas last year, so the tree wasn't up for that long. I had helped my Mom put hers up on the 4th of this month, (not sure why she wanted hers up, maybe she just felt in the 'festive mood'..) So, of course that prompted me to want to put ours up. I asked Will what he thought, and he didn't care either way, so we put the tree up on the 7th. Porter was with us that week, so he helped and had a lot of fun decorating the tree. I am glad to have it up, I really like this time of year. I just can't believe it's hear already!!
This weekend we went up to the cabin. The last time we were up there was in August, and I have never been up there during the winter/fall.. so we went! We left on Friday, and got up there around 8 or so. Kelsey (Will's sister) stayed up there with her 2 kids (Cali & Cole) with us the whole weekend. It was a lot of fun, relaxing, and a nice get-away. The kids enjoyed being around each other and playing. On Saturday morning, we went out to breakfast. There are only a few places actually open up at Bear Lake this time of year, so the pickings were slim. We watched movies all day and laid around. For dinner, Kelsey and I went and got some pizza (at a place that is only open on Friday & Saturday nights) and we also stopped at a little grocery store to get some eggs (to make brownies-Kelsey's idea) and some ice cream, for dessert.
This picture was at breakfast Saturday morning.

The kids outside the restaurant we ate at for breakfast.

This morning Kelsey got up early and left, so they could make it to church on time. Porter and I decided to have some of the ice cream for breakfast this morning! It was a pretty good idea! We cleaned the cabin and got everything in the truck and made it home around 4... I really like getting away, but it's always good to come home. (We just don't want to go to work tomorrow..) ha ha

Anyway, I'll have more to write about later..

Our weekend at the cabin

Will and I went up to the cabin this last weekend. (This is a picture of the view from the porch on Saturday evening.) The drive to Bear Lake usually takes around 2 and a half hours. Not this time! It took us 4 and a half hours to get there!!! Rediculous. We left the apartment around 6 on Friday night, figuring we'd get up there around 8:30. The freeway had a major accident right around the Layton area. We were on the freeway creeping along for about 2 hours. I thought I was going to go crazy. After we finally got out of that mess, it started raining and rained pretty much for the rest of the drive to the cabin. We got up there about 10.

Will's cousin and his wife (Max & Chelsea) are expecting there first baby in October and the family threw them a baby shower on Saturday. It was for couples, so Will came with me. We drove back down to Logan on Saturday afternoon, around 2:30, the shower was at 4. We stayed for a little while and then drove back up to the cabin. They have some pretty good little hamburger joints up there, so we wanted to stop and get some food. Well, that was a bad idea, needless to say.. We ended up pretty sick. I don't know exactly what it was from, but think it was food poisoning. Or the food just didn't agree with us or something... We spent Sunday being bums, and left for home around 6.
It was pretty chilly outside on Saturday night. We were just relaxing on the porch and cuddled up in blankets. It was really nice. I am really glad that we got the opportunity to get away for a weekend with no one around. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

On Saturday night around midnight or so, it started storming again, and Will woke up to try and take some pictures of the lightning. It was such a sight! Being that close to all the lightning was really cool! Will was only able to get one picture of it, but it turned out really well. It was so neat. I wish that we could have captured more pictures of the lightning. . .

This was a picture from the drive home. What a pretty lake. So blue.

Well, I guess it's time to go. I'll post more later...

The cabin..etcetera, etcetera...

Last weekend we went to the pool... both Saturday and Sunday... (of course.) We really enjoy going. I didn't take the camera this time though. Will and I are going to take a trip to Bear Lake this weekend. We'll probably leave Friday after work. I am excited to go stay at the cabin, it will be nice to have a weekend to ourselves. I love the peace and quiet.. and the atmosphere... and the view! Last summer we spent a lot of time there. Almost every weekend during the summer until Will's parents left. We wanted to go up during the winter, and attempted to this past January, but discovered that the locks had been changed and we didn't have the new key!! Dang it! We got a new one now though... I would really like to stay up there when there's snow on the ground.Speaking of snow... I was just going through some pictures (looking for the ones of the cabin) and found ones from Christmas 2006. We went out to Kale and Britt's house for breakfast Christmas morning and we went to my Mom's so Porter could see the doggies. They love him! And needless to say, he loves them. He says they are 'his dogs, they just stay at grandma's house' . haha

I love my weiner dogs! They are the best dogs ever! I can't wait till Will and I get one to have at our place. My mom won't let me take Eddie (he's mine but he's deaf and partially blind) not only that, I would feel terrible taking him away from the other dogs. They are like his eyes and ears. Anyway, the others names are C.J., Tug, and Mollie. Kale and Britt have one as well, and his name is Charlie. Eddie and Charlie are brothers. Kale and I got them at the same time. Although Eddie has those disabilities, he is really a very good dog. (My Mom calls him 'special Ed') haha

<-- This one is Eddie, trying to get Momma's (my) attention..

And this one is Charlie -->

LOL! hahaha ~I just found this other picture from a party my cousins and I had the day after Thanksgiving '06. We had all the cousins pose together and we took a bunch of pictures.. This one is my favorite! It makes me laugh every time I see it. We had sooo much fun! And these pictures are priceless entertainment!!
Ok, Ok, enough reminiscing for now... I'll put some more favorites on later...

The Clark's & The Fitch's

Well, they came,... they saw,... and they LEFT!! Already! I can't believe it, and neither can Will. Craig and Sande (his parents) were here for a week this summer! They have been teaching in Kuwait for the past 2 school years. They flew in on Monday night last week (7/9) and left on Friday night (7/13) on their way to Jakarta, where they will be for the next 2 school years! Last summer, they were home for about a month & a half. It's really har
d not being able to see them more. Hopefully next summer they will stay longer! It was really nice being able to spend the week with them up at the cabin in Bear Lake, while they were here. I was able to take some great pictures of Will's family. It means a lot to Will and I, and I am sure the siblings as well. When we were up at the lake, Kelsey (Will's sis) and her kids, stayed there the entire time that we did. Lori (Will's oldest sis) and her kids, came up the last night and stayed. We had a lot of fun!
On another note, Po will be starting Kindergarten this school year. He is getting so big. The daycare/preschool that he attends had a Pre-K graduation for all the kids. It was really exciting for him.

My family is doing really well. I have posted some of their pics too.. Kale and Britt just got a new house! Everett has a new girlfriend.. (yay for Nina!) She is awesome. My mom is doing pretty well, just got central air in the house, which was lllloooonnnggg overdue. She is now working in the Bakery at Wal-mart and really enjoys it! And the four weiner dogs are still bein' weiners!!

I'll write again soon... as soon as there is more exciting news...
